FR and FRLS cover different parts of the range
In this catalogue the FR records run from 0.75 to 6 sq mm, the sizes used on final circuits, while FRLS covers 10 to 35 sq mm. FRLS adds a low-smoke requirement that specifications for larger runs and shared spaces often call for.
Two coil lengths on the smaller sizes
Sizes from 0.75 to 6 sq mm are listed in both a short 90 m coil and a longer 200 m or 300 m coil. The short coil suits a single room or a repair; the long coil normally works out cheaper per metre on a full rewiring job.
Conductor size follows the circuit design
